About PEARL YACHTS

This innovative British brand has been building exclusive, high quality motor yachts for almost 20 years but its latest range of customizable 65ft to 95ft craft are setting new standards for fit, finish and features.

THE NEW PEARL 95
Pearl has made a name for itself as an innovator and the new 95 will be its most ground-breaking design to date. Like the Pearls 65 and 75 before it, the exterior styling and naval architecture is the work of Bill Dixon, one of the most respected motor yacht designers of his generation. Renowned for creating attractive, fuel efficient, seaworthy hulls, he is also a master at maximizing internal volume. The 95 is no exception, boasting an elegant exterior profile but also the deck spaces and interior accommodation of a much larger craft. The open-plan saloon and dining area look like they belong to a 40m superyacht with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding side doors opening out on to cutaway bulwarks. The spacious full-beam master suite is also situated on the main deck with spectacular views out through the two tier side windows and the added luxury of forward facing skylights to bathe the area in natural light. Three or four additional guest suites are accessed down a separate staircase, providing unrivalled privacy for both owners and their guests. The captain and crew have their own accommodation forward, enabling them to move seamlessly between their cabins, the galley and the bridge without ever disturbing the guests. An enormous flybridge with a fully equipped helm and plenty of space to cook, eat and socialize under the shade of an opening hardtop is supplemented by a second outdoor lounge on the foredeck with its separate seating and sunbathing areas and its own pop-up sun shade. However, the most striking feature of the new 95 is the convertible beach club area at the stern. Wing platforms on each side fold out to create mini docks for mooring the fleet of tenders and toys carried on board, while the central bar area is fitted out with a drinks fridge, stools, sunloungers and a fresh water shower. Doubling up as a secure tender garage for a Williams jet-RIB and PWC when under way, it brings a new level of flexibility and sophistication to the sub-100ft market. The 95 is available with a wide range of engine options giving a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots. A fuel capacity of 10,000 litres allows a generous range with a variety of stabilizer options for maximum comfort at anchor and under way.

MANUFACTURING
With its headquarters in landlocked Warwick, Pearl fits out its range of yachts at Endeavour Quay in Portsmouth using top quality components sourced from all over Europe. Pearl always takes care to specify the best possible equipment on the market, such as Lewmar winches, Trend Marine windows, Opacmare passerelles, Side-Power thrusters and Kohler generators. Like many premium US brands, the hull and mouldings are manufactured in Asia taking advantage of the world-class facilities, expertise and economies of scale that the shipyard can offer. This ensures the customer enjoys the best of British design, a solidly built hull, a sophisticated European fit-out and custom-built exclusivity, without the premium pricing that normally entails.

CUSTOMISATION
Because Pearl only builds two or three examples of each model per year it is able to offer a level of personal attention and customization that many of the larger production yards can’t. Iain and production director Paul Hannah personally oversee the build of each yacht, working closely with the owner to ensure it meets their every need. From major mechanical decisions such as the power and make of the engines to the smallest details of the fit and finish, Pearl will listen, advise and find a solution that works for you. Like a tailor-made suit, every Pearl should fit the owner to perfection, ensuring that you’ll never pull into a marina and find an identical one berthed next door.

THE RANGE
The Pearl range comprises three yachts; the 65, 75 and new 95. Each model is built to the same exacting standards and boasts a number of unique features unmatched by its rivals. Glass panels in the flybridge that let light filter through into the cockpit, a double-height windscreen over the helm station, electric patio doors that glide aside at the touch of a button, spacious master cabins that appear to come from much larger yachts and a unique interior design courtesy of Kelly Hoppen MBE. The 65 and 75 are both offered with a choice of pod or shaftdrive propulsion and a range of engines to suit the owner’s needs. The one thing they all have in common is a world-class fit and finish, and pricing that embarrasses many of their big name competitors.

PRICING
Prices for the Pearl 65 start at £1.31 million ex VAT while the Pearl 75 costs from £2.49 million ex VAT. These prices have stayed frozen for the last three years. The new 95, the first of which is already in build and due to be launched in the summer of 2017, is priced from £4.65 million ex VAT. Pearl makes a point of specifying all its boats with an unusually high level of standard equipment that many rival yards charge extra for, ensuring they represent excellent value for money in any like-for-like comparison.
